Designing User Experiences
Students who undertake this second-year Designing User Experiences module, are introduced to
core principles of design thinking and UX design. Students develop practical skills in user research,
wireframing, prototyping, and useability testing, using industry-standard tools. This badge recognises
the student’s proficiency in UX design, showcasing their ability to create intuitive, user-centered digital
experiences through creative problem-solving and practical UX skills.
To earn this badge, students must:
• Demonstrate active engagement in workshops and collaborative design activities, applying UX
principles and design thinking techniques.
• Complete a UX design project that includes user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability
testing, demonstrating user-centred design skills.
• Submit a reflection that evaluates the design process, explains design decisions, and reflects on
challenges and key insights.
